Later, visit Siem Reap’s ancient ruins and historical sites, such as Baray Big Pond, Les Artisans Chantiers Ecoles for traditional Khmer arts and crafts, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm Temple, Prasat Preah Khan, and the historic Pre Rup Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend the night at a hotel in Siem Reap.
Today, explore the south gate of the 402-acre Angkor Wat temple, built by King Suryavarman II in the 12th century. Known for detailed carvings and idols of Lord Vishnu, the temple's construction took over 30 years. Angkor Wat is inspired by Mount Meru, the home of the Gods, and its towering structures offer a magical experience. Return to your hotel for the night in Siem Reap.
